On outdoor and coastal sites, specify bolts, nuts, hanger rods and clamps in the same finish as the tray, so the fasteners do not rust first.
HDG
The steel is dipped in molten zinc at around 450 °C after fabrication, so every surface is coated, including cut edges and holes. The standard choice for outdoor areas, coastal sites, chemical plants, smelters and power plants.
Electro
A thin zinc layer applied by electrolysis. The surface is smoother and brighter and the cost is lower, but corrosion resistance is lower than HDG. Suited to dry indoor spaces such as office buildings, malls and panel rooms.
Powder coat
Electrostatic powder paint, oven cured. The color can follow a RAL code, usually red or orange for fire alarm routes and blue or grey for system identification. Used where appearance and route identification matter.
