Cable tray accessories: covers, join sets, brackets and hangers
Short answer
Cable tray accessories are the parts that join, cover and support a cable route. A standard route needs a join set at every splice, a support (a bracket, or a hanger beam with hanger rods) every 1.5 to 2.5 m, hold-down clamps to fix the tray to each support, and covers with cover clamps where the route must be closed.

How many join sets do I need per tray length?
One join set (a pair of plates with bolts) for every splice between lengths. For a 30 m straight run in 3 m lengths, allow 9 join sets plus the splices at every fitting.
Which accessories does one cable tray route need?
As a minimum: straight tray, join sets, supports (a bracket, or a hanger beam with 2 hanger rods), a hold-down clamp at each support, and a fitting at every bend. Add covers and cover clamps where the route must be closed.
